Having a life span of between 35 and 40 years, orang utans live in a group of around 10 to 20, spending most of their time in treetops |
The Orang Utan, which literally means Man of the Forest, can only be found in Malaysia and Indonesia |
Based on studies, there are only about 7,000 orang utans left in the wild. |
They are classified as an endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the world’s oldest and largest global environmental organisation. |
